Your rights come first

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or the Motor Vehicle Sales Act 2003. If something goes wrong with a car you buy from us, talk to us first; you can also take a dispute to the Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal.

Cars and prices

• Prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST.
• "Drive away" means the price includes on-road costs. "+ ORC" means on-road costs are added: [what your on-road costs cover, and how much they usually are]. Ask us for the full drive-away price before you decide.
• Each used car shows its Consumer Information Notice, as the Consumer Information Standards (Used Motor Vehicles) Regulations 2008 require. Ask us for a printed copy at any time.
• We work to keep every listing right, but mistakes can happen. The details in the Consumer Information Notice and your sale agreement are what count. Photos show the car itself unless they say otherwise.
• A car shown on the website may have been sold or be on hold since. A car is only yours once we have agreed the sale in writing [and received your deposit].

Test drives

You need a current full or restricted driver licence, which we may ask to see. You are responsible for driving safely and lawfully during a test drive. [Add what happens with damage, speeding fines or tolls during a test drive.]
